State Dam Loan/Grant Funding Program

Montana has a funding program to assist dam owners with repair, abandonment, or removal of dams.

Publically owned dams can receive up to $100,000 grant, and low interest loans. Grants are competitively awarded for all infrastructure projects (including wastewater, drinking water etc). Privately owned dams have no grant options although loans are available.
